Teaching & Classes

Renee was introduced to fiber arts young, as many are. Eventually spinning yarn more than anything else, leading to selling her Hand-spun. She has been spinning for years and has been designing drop spindles for almost as long. This led her to the next obvious step of officially founding her business, Wavellite Creative LLC, in early 2021.

Teaching started with the selling of things to spin yarn with. Discovering a talent and a joy of sharing her love of spinning. Renee has been steadily adding to the options and range of class levels she offers. Many students have complimented Renee for having a great way of conveying the needed information in more than one way, better ensuring a level of success and confidence in future spinning endeavors.

Classes that may be offered:

Drop Spinning 'Short' Classes: 

Beginner Drop Spindle (101), Beyond the Basics Drop Spindle (102), Intermediate Drop Spindle (200), & Advanced Drop Spindle (300).

Other: 

'Yarn for Your Wall'; is a class that starts as a beginner drop spindle class focused on spinning Art yarn. Then it becomes a beginner weaving class, using the yarn you spun during class. 

'Yarn for your Wall' (Advanced); takes the advanced drop spindle class and helps push you to take drop spinning art yarn in new directions. The class then becomes a beginner weaving class, using the art yarn spun in class.  

'Itty Bitty Weaving'; weave on some really small looms to make jewelry, buttons, items for doll houses, or components of larger projects. Looms used in class range from under an inch to 6 inches.
